The Police Station opened on 20-01-1939 as pakka Police Station. Prior to this date it was an OP attached to Payyanur.PS. After 6 months it was downgraded into an Out post again. On 15-01-1947 again upgraded as Police Station. After that the Police Station again was downgraded as an out post on 01.09.1952. On 1.11.1955 this is upgraded as pakka police station.
